ooTunes is a music player that can play online radio streams, or your entire music/video collection from your home computer.
In its basic “radio mode”, you can search for, listen to, tag, and share over 4 thousand online radio streams (with more being added daily!). Used with ooTunes Media Server (see http://ootunes.com) it can do a whole lot more!
In Radio Mode:
ooTunes has a built in web-browser, so you can see each station’s homepage, or check your email, or even chat while you listen.
Create custom tags, set favorites and get lists of recently played, most played. ooTunes even keeps track of your cumulative listening time (in case you wonder what you’ve done for the last month of your life).
Search radio stations by Genre, Location (using built in GPS or zip/city/state/country), Name, Frequency/Band and Callsign.

Starts back up with the same stream you were listening to (if you get a phone call, for example).
ooTunes Radio supports mp3, wma (windows media audio streams over mms), and aac+ formats in just about any playlist format you can think of (.pls, .m3u, .asx).
Thousands of stations and growing. The best part? Just let us know if your station is missing and we’ll add it and do all the dirty work (no need to tap in a long painful url).
And that’s not all!
When used in conjunction with ooTunes Media Server (available separately for Mac, Windows and Linux), you can listen to even more radio stations/streams (including those hard to play “real audio” streams (I’m looking at you BBC).
AND your entire iTunes music collection, without copying it all over to your iPhone/iPod Touch. (’Cause everyone knows that 8, 16, or even 32 gigs isn’t enough!) You can even rate your tracks.
Did we mention your movies too? That’s right, if they play on your iPhone, they’ll play through ooTunes (some purchased tracks must be played in Safari due to DRM).
